Consultation on Admissions Arrangements
The governors are consulting on a change to the Admissions Arrangements for the school, reducing the Published Admission Number (PAN) from 45 to 30 and extending the catchment area of the school to include new local housing developments.
This proposal to reduce PAN is being made in response to a fall in the birth rate, seen nationally and locally, and the linked projected fall in the number of pupils due to start school living in the catchment area, despite the new housing that is planned locally.
In line with the requirements of the Admissions Code 2021, this consultation seeks to engage with parents and carers of children already at the school, as well as future parents of the school, the staff, other local admissions authorities and other interested parties. Changes can only be made for admission in 2027 and so a variation request will be made separately to seek to make this change from September 2026.
The consultation is open for six weeks, and will run from 2 December 2025. Responses must be received by 3pm on 13 January 2026. Please use this form for online responses.
