School Council

Who are our School Council members?

Every year we run an election campaign to vote for a new representative for each class. A good representative will speak at the council meetings about things that their class is interested in. They will also tell their class about what is going on in the council meetings and ask their class for their input.

What does our School Council do?

The school council works to make improvements to the school and the way we do things at Cutteslowe. We look around for things that could be better and discuss what to do. Everyone gets a chance to speak and when we’ve finished we vote on the best ideas and then start working on changing things. Sometimes we have to talk to teachers and sometimes we organise and help run events.

Each year we vote on what charity we will support. Previous charities have included Helen & Douglas House and Sobell House. This year we want to support a homeless charity.

What our School Council have to say about Cutteslowe Primary School and what they can do for the school:

Monty: I'm really excited about what we can do to help the school. Cutteslowe Primary School is really great already so we will also focus on the bigger picture.

Milah: I'm proud to be Skylarks new school council member. I'm almost 9, I like dogs and I'm 100% sure that this year's school council are the best!

Holly: I am a Year 5 in Owls class. I am excited to have this role because I love to make a difference.

Benji: I like playing football and I play for Summertown Stars Pirates.

Alice: Hi, me name is Alice and I'm very friendly. I love my dogs and I'm really excited to be on the school council!
